Overview
Kaeya's burst creates icicles that follow the active character and apply Cryo. His skill deals Cryo damage and generates energy particles, excellent battery for claymore users. C1 bonus CRIT against Cryo enemies synergizes with Blizzard Strayer in Freeze teams.
How to Play
Cast burst for off-field Cryo, skill for additional Cryo and particles, then swap to your Main DPS. In Freeze teams, pair with Hydro (Barbara/Kokomi) and another Cryo (Rosaria) for Cryo resonance. Kaeya stays off-field after setup.
Optimal Rotation
Kaeya Burst, Kaeya Skill, swap to Hydro applicator, apply Freeze, DPS rotation. In F2P Freeze: Barbara Skill, Kaeya Burst, Rosaria Skill/Burst, Kaeya Skill, on-field Cryo attacks.
F2P Options
Kaeya is free from Prologue. Favonius Sword or Sacrificial Sword are his best weapons. Blizzard Strayer 4pc makes him a viable Freeze DPS at C1. He's one of the most valuable free characters, level burst to 8+ for any Freeze or battery team.
Common Mistakes
Not using Kaeya as a battery for Diluc/Razor, his skill generates 3 particles with Cryo resonance. Building Kaeya as on-field DPS without C1/Blizzard Strayer. Running Kaeya without Hydro support in Freeze teams. Ignoring his burst icicles, they apply Cryo off-field consistently.
